ITINERARY

DAY 1

Flight from Bogotá to Leticia. Upon arrival, we will take a tour of this small city, which includes:

*Lunch at a restaurant serving Amazonian cuisine: Local specialties include fish such as *pirarucú*, *casabe* (cassava flatbread), and juices made from exotic fruits, among other offerings.

*Anthropological Museum: A visit that provides an introduction to the indigenous cultures inhabiting the region, their customs, and their way of life.

*Amazonian Ice Cream Shop: Ice cream featuring unique, local flavors—such as ant, *mojojoy* (grub/larva), and coca leaf.

*Santander Park: The city’s main square, where, at sunset, thousands of birds return to their nests—a natural spectacle we will observe from the church tower.

Accommodation in a comfortable hotel equipped with air conditioning and a swimming pool; a buffet breakfast is included.

DAY 2

Jungle Tour: We will travel by car for approximately 40 minutes to the starting point of a jungle trek, led by an indigenous guide. During the hike, we will learn about the jungle’s edible and dangerous plants and hear stories from indigenous cultures.

We will arrive at a *maloka* (an indigenous ceremonial house), where community members will share insights into their way of life, provide a traditional lunch, and offer us the chance to swim in a river. As night falls, we will make our return trek, observing how the jungle transforms after dark—a time when it is possible to spot bioluminescent plants and creatures such as tarantulas.

DAY 3

Travel by boat along the Amazon River (approx. 2 hours) to visit points of interest in Colombia and Peru. During the river journey, we may spot pink dolphins.

*Macedonia Community: Located halfway along the route. Here, we will enjoy an indigenous dance performance and have the opportunity to view local handicrafts.

*San Antonio del Cacao (Peru): Situated on the opposite side of the river, this Peruvian village is where local guides will lead us through the jungle to spot sloths living freely in the area. We will also encounter various plant and animal species and enjoy a light snack before crossing the river back to the Colombian side.

*Puerto Nariño: A charming small town—free of cars and motorcycles—from which we will continue our adventure. In the afternoon, we will take a short tour of the town, including a visit to an observation tower that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding territory. We will also cool off with local ice creams made from Amazonian fruits, such as camu camu, madroño, or açaí.

DAY 4

Tarapoto Lakes Tour: We will head into the jungle by boat, navigating a small river to reach two lakes. Here, we can swim, look for pink dolphins, and take a short hike to discover Amazonian trees, remarkable for their immense size and great age.

DAY 5

Return by boat along the Amazon River to Leticia. En route, we may visit another indigenous community, such as La Libertad.

Upon arrival in Leticia, we will have lunch at a Colombian-Peruvian restaurant to explore the region's gastronomy. In the afternoon, we will take a tour to Brazil via mototaxi (tuk-tuk). Leaving Leticia and heading east, you cross the border into the city of Tabatinga, Brazil. Here, you can visit a viewpoint that offers the best sunset, with views spanning the territories of three countries—Brazil, Colombia, and Peru—while enjoying traditional Brazilian drinks, such as a Caipirinha cocktail or a Guaraná soda.

DAY 6

Return flight to Bogotá.
